Bible Search for Manners Lesson Summary
4.   After the Israelites leave Egypt, they travel through the desert. During difficult times, Miriam and
Aaron begin speaking against Moses. Numbers 12:9-10 (NASB)
says, "The anger of the Lord burned against them and He
      departed. Behold Miriam was leprous."

What does Aaron say when he sees Miriam's condition? What
does Moses pray? In your opinion, does Moses forgive his
brother and sister? Read Numbers 12:11-13.

ANSWERS: Aaron admits the sin, says he and his sister have
been foolish, and asks for forgiveness. Moses asks
God for mercy for his sister. Say: Do you think
Moses is upset to see his sister in this
condition? They have been through a great
deal together, and she had saved his life when he was a baby.
Application
Moses' family had worked together and accomplished great things for God. What have you learned from this family? (to work together, to get along and help one another, to consider one another's needs) Even in the most loving families, sometimes we need to forgive and sometimes we need to ask for forgiveness. Students may want to share family experiences.
Do you think God was watching over Moses, Miriam, and Aaron? (Numbers 12:1, 2) Does He watch over you and me? Is God pleased with what He sees?
During the week, pray for God's direction in your family. Ask God to lead you in making a difference at home. Using the students' names, tell them that God will be watching over them. Ex: "This week God is watching over all the Jonathans, all the Carlys, and all the Jennys."
Extended Activities SUMMARY NOTE: This is a sample
of the activities.
Mural
Preparation: Cut enough bulletin board paper for four groups of students to draw pictures representing the lessons indicated.
1.   Suggest that the students refer to their worksheets and Bibles for ideas.  They may write verses and
      title their work.
2.   Remind the students to follow the example of Moses' family by working together to complete their
projects. Some can draw, some can give ideas, and all can encourage one another.
3.   Upon completion of the mural, ask the groups to tell about their sections.
