I purchased the
Oops, Your Manners Are Showing book at a homeschool conference
last spring. It was designated for ages
4-7. I just began using the lessons 2 weeks ago. We are using it
nearly everyday and are finishing this afternoon. My girls are
3-year old Chloe and 6-year old Emily. I just wanted to let you
know that it has been a wonderful theme book!
I normally find
myself just getting some ideas from a theme book and making up my
own puppet skits, searching for verses, and adding on to the craft
or game. Your book was so complete and the ideas kept my girls
asking for more. I can't believe Chloe is creeping around the
house saying, "Shhh, Mommy is on the phone." And the "How does it
feel?" copy sheet was a huge success! I was having some trouble
with the girls not getting along, and now they are telling each
other to "stop using sandpaper" and to "use more cotton balls.”
Chloe didn't want to verbally apologize to Emily, but she went and
got a cotton ball for her! The book was also flexible enough that
I could customize a few things without throwing us off completely.
For example, we would talk about all of the Bible verses, but we
concentrated on memorizing just Proverbs 20:11.
I am so impressed with your book that
I sent an email to my favorite Yahoo list (Konos Curriculum users)
telling them all about it. Another mom located your website. I
will be buying the Manners at Church book soon!
Thank you,
